Meet 2022's event sponsors

Time to tell you about these vendors who are also sponsoring the PFF this year. Be sure to give them some love!

Gingersnap / Mr. Snapthat - Kim and Colin were the very first vendors who ever signed up for the Peace Fibre Fest! They will be providing PFF tote bags to our wonderful volunteers (with plenty of room for your yarn purchases), but check out their booth for yarn, bags and swag!

Hippy Strings - Robyn and Sherrill will take care of your tired toes by providing a cozy seating area again this year. So, once those toes are nice and rested, be sure to check out their booth!

Nomad Fibre Works - Planning to be a vendor at your first fibre fest can be a bit overwhelming. Alliston will be helping to minimize that feeling for one of our new vendors this year, by sponsoring their booth. Be sure to check out both their booths!

Weaselworks - Gary, aka Weasel, was going to join us as a vendor this year, but life threw a curveball. He has provided some of his woodwork to be used as prizes, as well sponsoring a treat for all the other vendors. For this year, you can find his awesome wares at the Faking Sanity booth. You’ll be missed, Weasel!

Faking Sanity - Cindy and Lou are organizing the fibre fest again this year, and providing volunteers and staff to make sure everything runs smoothly on the day of the event. Check out their booth to see what type of things are available year-round in Dawson.

Hotel promo for Peace Fibre Fest!

If you are travelling to Dawson Creek for the fibre fest, whether you’re coming to shop or to sell, the local George Dawson Inn has agreed to offer a promotional price for anyone booking for the event. The hotel is an older one, but is clean and comfortable, and has loads of parking, and a great new restaurant downstairs. Just mention you’re booking for the “Peace Fibre Fest”, and you’ll get the promo rate on a double queen room, which saves you over $35 a night.

Vendor Applications Are Now Open!

Vendor applications for the 2022 Peace Fibre Fest are now open! Pop over to the Vendor page, and download your application, information and COVID protocol pages now. Submit applications as soon as possible for best chances of approval. We already have over a dozen vendors confirmed from last year’s cancelled event, so places are limited.

Please note that BC currently requires all events like this to enforce mask-wearing and proof of vaccination (details are in the COVID protocols information sheet on the vendor page).

Our preference for applicants will be for vendors who focus their booth offerings on supplies for knitting, crochet, spinning, felting and weaving. These should take up at least 3/4 of your booth, but you may add related swag, , etc for the rest, that are themed around those crafts or your business/brand. Feel free to contact us if you have any questions. We look forward to hearing from you!

We're back!

Save the date! Sunday, April 24th, 2022 will see the return of the Peace Fibre Fest! We hope you can join us!

We have a massive venue this year, so we will be able to easily accommodate extra wide aisles and several feet between every booth to avoid any crowding. There’s also an onsite cantine, and loads of parking. Most importantly, though, we’ve started getting confirmations from vendors, so we’ll have all of the fibre-related goodies that you’re craving!

Stay tuned for details, vendor highlights, and the inevitable covid precautions for the event in the coming weeks!

COVID-19 UPDATE

Hello everyone! We are 6 weeks out from the Peace Fibre Fest... and right in the middle of the Covid-19 pandemic. Given the postponement of some of the major Canadian fibre fests lately, we thought we'd give you all an update.

As of today, we are still planning on going forward with the Peace Fibre Fest -- but that could change. We don't want to cancel the event unless absolutely necessary, since I know that it will affect a lot of the vendors and attendees planning to travel here, but we also don't want to contribute to the spread of the virus.

We're keeping a very close eye on news from the World Health Organization and government recommendations; yesterday the B.C. government asked event planners to cancel all events with over 250 attendees, and Alberta has also recommended the same precaution. We are hoping these and other restrictions will prove effective and will be lifted before April 26th.

That being said, if we do need to cancel the event we will do it more than 2 weeks in advance so that people are able to cancel travel plans, hotel reservations, etc.

If you have any questions, we'll do our best to answer them as soon as possible!

Vendor applications are now open!

It’s official! Vendor applications for the 2020 Peace Fibre Fest are now open. You can download the application form here on our Vendor page. If you joined us last year, you’ll see that there is a slight change in how we’re promoting our vendors this year. We’re also changing our internal application review process, so payment for a booth is only due in the new year.

We’ve got a bigger venue this year, so we’re hoping to have lots of new vendors and classes! If you would like to teach a class, please subscribe to our Teaching newsletter, at the very bottom of this page (and at the bottom of every page on the website).

Also, please feel free to email us or use the contact us form if you have any questions. We’d love to hear from you, and can’t wait to start going through all the wonderful applications!
